Ever since emerging from the mist-shrouded Karelian town of Joensuu, INSOMNIUM has been bringing light to those who live in the shadows. For the tenth time, they are raising the curtains to a new album full of Finnish melancholy, haunting melodies, and ferocious melodic death — “Netherworlds” will see the light of autumn in October 2026. Produced by Miiro Varjus and mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Kreator, The Halo Effect, Dark Tranquillity…), the new full-length release captures INSOMNIUM at their most dynamic and cinematic yet and marks the first album since the joining of guitarist Tomy Laisto.
