7th album from 2026 by Madrid-based IN VAIN, „Architects of Mayhem“ marks another step forward in the evolution of a band that has spent more than two decades combining Heavy, Thrash and Power Metal. The album retains their trademark blend of crushing riffs, speed, epic melodies and catchy choruses, alternating moments of intense aggression with more melodic and elaborate passages. The production delivers a more polished and balanced sound, giving greater prominence to both the guitars and an especially solid rhythm section.

This is the first release featuring Manel Avrillon on bass, a musician also associated with DARKBLAZERS, while the most notable guest appearance comes from PRIMAL FEAR vocalist Ralf Scheepers, who contributes vocals to one track. The album also offers some stylistic variety, including a song with Folk-inspired touches and adventurous melodies, alongside more straightforward Power and Thrash Metal attacks. With eleven compositions and a running time close to 47 minutes, IN VAIN deliver a dynamic and solid record that remains firmly rooted in their established musical identity.
