news. TAAKE – new album „En Skog av Nidstang“ will be released on the 31st of July, 2026

Having balanced tradition and innovation for over three decades, Taake remains fiercely independent while continually pushing its own creative boundaries. That uncompromising vision finds new expression on the ninth full-length album, En Skog av Nidstang. 
The recordings for En Skog av Nidstang were completed south of Bergen, in the moss-covered forests around the island of Borgøy. In the surroundings depicted by the ill-fated Norwegian painter Lars Hertervig, Taake embraced the focused seclusion of the landscape, relying less on modern technology or studio excess, but on intuition, confinement, creativity, and a mastery of the rudimentary tools of the trade.

Plans are being drawn up for multiple tours, and in the meantime, TAAKE has been confirmed for the following appearances – in Germany:

01 Aug: Full Rewind, Flugplatz Roitzschjora,
21 Aug: Wolfszeit, Eisfeld
