news. WRETCHED to unleash long-awaited „Decay“ full-length October 17th

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Wretched emerged in 2005 as a formidable force on the metal scene blending melodic, death, technical and progressive metal, evolving from their early days as And Since Forgotten. Signed to Victory Records in 2008, the band carved a niche with their debut The Exodus of Autonomy (2009), followed by Beyond the Gate (2010), Son of Perdition (2012), and Cannibal (2014), earning acclaim for their intricate compositions and aggressive live shows. After a hiatus from touring post-2015, Wretched returned in 2023 under Metal Blade Records, unveiling Decay—a conceptual masterpiece that blends haunting melodies with progressive complexity. This fifth album, a prequel to Beyond the Gate, delves into existential themes, D&D-inspired mythology, and personal loss.

For the last two years, Charlotte, North Carolina’s lauded metal monsters WRETCHED worked on the songs that would populate their long-awaited fifth full-length, Decay. Set for release on October 17th on Metal Blade Records, the result is a conceptual masterpiece that blends haunting melodies with progressive complexity.
